Traditional Thai Bodywork
(Nuad Bo Rarn)
Often referred to as "Lazy Man's Yoga," Thai massage rejuvenates and relaxes by stretching, pressing, and working on the energy lines of the body. Bringing calm to the mind and spirit, it also benefits one's physical health, as increased life energy help boost the nervous, circulatory, muscular, lymphatic, and digestive systems. This ancient healing art is given on a floor mat, with the client comfortably clothed.
I studied in Chiang Mai, Thailand during the winter of 2008. Nothing beats leaving New York winter like studying bodywork in a tropical country! I was fortunate to study at a few different schools, such as the Old Medicine Hospital, Loi Kroh, and the Sunshine School. I would especially like to thank Kru Dot at the Sunshine School for her thoughtful, gentle and wise instruction.
